Two halves of the same craft — senior roles you can engage fractionally, and production systems we built and operate ourselves.

Fractional & interim roles

Senior expertise — Security, Data Protection, Enterprise Architecture, Process, Marketing, Public Tender — engaged fractionally instead of as a full-time hire.

These are people-as-a-service offerings. Senior roles you engage on a fractional or interim basis, on a fixed monthly retainer rather than a full-time headcount commitment. Each role comes with a named individual, a documented engagement format, and a real hand-over at the end.

Historically, these positions meant hiring a full-time executive. For organizations between “the founder still does it” and “we have a real X”, that headcount commitment is often the wrong step — too big, too risky, too expensive. The fractional model bridges that gap, and the consulting engagements often grow into one of these roles when the relationship matures.

Custom software development

From small helpers to complex production systems — Extreme Programming, results over rituals.

This is the engineering capability that builds the software between off-the-shelf and full systems integration. Same discipline whether the deliverable is a 380-line daemon or a 100,000-line platform.

The methodology choice matters: Extreme Programming (XP) practices — pair programming, TDD, continuous integration, refactoring, customer-on-site — over the heavier ceremonial cousins where the rituals become more important than the working code.

Production systems

Tools we built, run, and use ourselves — proof of the methodology, not the main offering.

These systems exist because we ran into the problems they solve. We built them, run them, and use them — in our own infrastructure and at clients who needed the same problem solved.

They are deliberately diverse — from mobile apps to a full self-hosted communications stack to a Perl daemon. The point is not the products themselves. The point is the engineering and consulting methodology behind them:

  • Open-source first, no proprietary lock-in.
  • AI-augmented engineering at 8–12× the productivity of conventional development, with review discipline and audit trails intact.
  • Production-tested before being recommended.
  • Built to outlast the next vendor cycle.

Most are also delivered as part of consulting or development engagements.
